A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) allows you, your family, or an estate to award grants into the community over multiple years, without the burden of managing your own Trust or Foundation. Delaware County Community Foundation (DCCF), a program of The Community’s Foundation (TCF) provides administrative support, so that you can focus on identifying and supporting the charitable endeavors that matter most to you. A DAF can be started with as little as $5,000.
Questions to ask yourself/advisor if you are considering starting a DAF:
Will your fund type be short-term or long term?
What assets will you donate to establish the fund? (For example, cash or appreciated securities)
What types of cause(s) are you hoping to support? (For example, education or health)
What will you name the fund?
Who will be responsible for selecting worthy causes?
We look forward to discussing your fund plans with you! Please contact us at info@TCFhelps.org.
